Cheap Date Ideas #5 - Ice Skating

Ice skating is a great idea for a cheap date. It's inexpensive, it's entertaining, and it's something most people have not done for a long time. Many city squares, and local universities offer ice skating facilities in the winter. It may cost somewhere between 5 and 8 dollars a person, plus you will want to bring a few bucks for romantic hot chocolates, so about $25 will do. Ice skating is a great late evening activity so plan to go around 8:00, which will save you the price of dinner.
I personally have some great memories of ice skating, there's really something quite charming about it. Laughter fills the air and you can catch her if she slips on the ice.
If you need a good idea for an inexpensive date consider ice skating, if you're afraid you would crash and burn on the ice, stay tuned. I will be listing 95 more great ideas for cheap dates.

Cheap Date Ideas #4 - Tour A Winery

I mentioned in my last post how much fun it can be to tour a brewery. So I thought I would use this post to talk about touring a winery. If you are lucky enough to have a local winery, you should call and ask them if they give tours. Much like the brewery, many wineries offer free or very cheap tours of their facilities (and tastings of their wines!). This makes for a great inexpensive date.
As with mode activities that revolve around wine, touring a winery is quite enjoyable.
You get to see how the wine is made, stored, and packaged. You get to sample all types of delicious wines, and you get to laugh with and enjoy your date as you go along.
Going to a winery is a good idea for a cheap date, but it you're not into wine that's fine, as I will be list 96 more great ideas for inexpensive dates!

Cheap Date Ideas #2 - A Picnic

Ok So I know the idea of a picnic date is a little generic, but it's so romantic. I am listing 100 cheap / inexpensive dating ideas, so I've got to include this old classic. It might sound a little lame if your a guy, but going on a picnic is an inexpensive date most women will enjoy. While it's not a great idea for a first date, if you've been together a while a picnic is quite charming.
Consider finding a nice spot by some flowing water. Put a lot of thought into what you bring on your picnic. You might pack sandwiches, chips, pasta salad and candy bars. Or for something extra special bring a couple of glass and a nice (but cheap) bottle of red wine. If you play your cards right the entire date will cost you less than 20 bucks. Now that's what I call a cheap date.
I understand that a picnic won't cut it for everybody, and that there are variables to consider like the weather so I will continue to list more great ideas for cheap dates. Cheap Date Ideas #1 - Open Mic Night

If you're looking for an idea for a cheap date, consider open mic night at your local coffee shop. Open Mic Night happens once a week at most coffee shops. It is the night were your town's local artist, comedians, poets, etc are all free to take the stage. That makes the entertainment for this date free, and if you don't meet until after dinner then you can get buy with just the price of a few cups of coffee. Talk about a cheap idea! This date might only costs you $20 bucks if you play your cards right. In the world of dating $20 bucks is about as inexpensive as a guy could hope for.
Personally I've had some great (and cheap) times at Open Mic night. The atmosphere is generally very relaxed and fun loving. One great thing about amateur performers is that even where then entertainment is bad it's still entertaining. If you're feeling really bold you could even take the stage yourself, it's Open Mic Night after all.
Open Mic Night can really be a great time and a great inexpensive date, but if you're not into coffee have no fear: I've got 99 more creative ideas for cheap / inexpensive dates!
